blog sites
Short for 'Weblog' they are sites where you can publish an online public 'diary'
conferencing
A method of talking with a group of people in a different location. Often with video and sound.
digital
A flow of information in 'discrete' packages (or digits) rather than a continuous flow.
dropshipping
A distribution network where you advertise the products and only order them from the wholesaler when you have a customer. You then pay the wholesaler and they send the item direct to the customer. Has many advantages over traditional methods. No stock, no wastage, fast delivery, lower costs etc.
e-commerce
Doing business electronically. Usually through the internet.
internet radio
Radio stations that 'broadcast through the internet. It's called 'streaming content' has the advantage that you can hear their broadcast anywhere on the planet.
laptop
A portable computer that you can use on your lap. Are limited by battery power and limited upgrade potential due to their compact size.
mailing list
A list of subscribers to a newsletter, usually in email form.
MP3
A compressed sound format

MLM ('Multi level Marketing')
Often confused with 'pyramid selling' which is unfair and illegal. MLM is a system of building a distribution network by each participant aquiring a small number of their own and a small percentage of all sales being spread throughout the network. One of the most efficient and lucrative systems of selling. (It's also the way plants distribute their seeds and grow).

Pay per click
A form of advertising websites where you 'bid' at an auction for certain keywords. You thereby agree to pay (usually a very small amount) if a person should click on that link and arrive at your website. Obviously the most popular links command a higher price.
Pyramid Selling
Unfair and illegal system of promoting products where the people at the top of the chain earn the most. The product gets more expensive down the line and the commission gets less. (It's also the same model for the structure of most companies, where the bulk of employees (usually the hardest workers) get the least and the management get the most).
